Floral Photography Masterclass Sat 22nd June

Join acclaimed floral photographer Seamus A Ryan at his home for a one day masterclass.

Additional dates will be announced closer to each flowering season.

Spend the day learning to take photographs in the garden, you will learn how to control light with reflectors, whether macro photography is for you and then we will take some flowers indoors and create beautiful still life images. There is very little extra gear you need for this course, a tripod can be advantageous but not necessary. If you don't have a Macro lens you can use Seamus's camera and macro lens on a tripod just to try it out. To finish off Seamus will show you some basic editing in Lightroom to finish your images and print 2 A3 prints for you to take away. Additional prints can be done on the day or later on and shipped to you.

Most of the following images were created in our garden but others, mainly the exotics and structures are from RHS and private gardens, we wish they were all in our garden.

Lunch is provided, with drinks and nibbles available throughout the day.

If you would like Seamus to come to your garden to teach please contact us.

Platinum Printing Workshop

This workshop is designed for photographers and print makers who are interested in learning how Platinum prints are created. Once you have paid for the course you will be sent a PDF with directions and an outline of what will happen on the day, with any course handouts attached so that you can read them before attending. Prior to the course start date you will be required to send 3 hi-res black & white digital images which we will turn into digital negatives for printing on the day. If you are not comfortable converting images to B&W we can do that for you.

The course will touch on creating digital negatives but is not a digital negative course, we offer that also but to much smaller group size.

The course is designed for a group between 6 and 8 students. If you are part of a photography club and would like this course held at your location please contact us to arrange this.
