This workshop is designed for photographers and print makers who are interested in learning how Platinum prints are created. Once you have paid for the course you will be sent a PDF with directions and an outline of what will happen on the day, with any course handouts attached so that you can read them before attending. Prior to the course start date you will be required to send 3 hi-res black & white digital images which we will turn into digital negatives for printing on the day. If you are not comfortable converting images to B&W we can do that for you.
The course will touch on creating digital negatives but is not a digital negative course, we offer that also but to much smaller group size.
The course is designed for 5 students max when run at my studio.

This one day workshop will introduce you to the world of Platinum/Palladium printing, considered the most desired form of Black & White printing.
You will supply prior to the workshop 3 images for Seamus to create digital enlarged negatives which will be used on the day to create your Pt/Pd prints.
You will be taught how to coat the chemicals onto the paper, how to expose the image using UV light and how to develop and clear the resulting prints.
There will be lots of books and prints to look through during the workshop and you will return home with at least 3 finished Pt/Pd prints, please bring an A3 or larger box to take them away in.
All paper and chemicals are included in the price as well as drinks and biscuits, please bring a packed lunch.
