I have been a professional fine art photographer for the past 20+ years and have been teaching photography for the past 8+ years. My workshops cater to all levels of photographer from the novice with their first camera to seasoned pros. I will discuss with you your needs prior to your workshop so that I can tailor it to your specific requirements.

As my background is in fine art photography I don’t believe it’s a photograph until I’m holding it in my hand so I do 2 A3 prints from the images you take on the workshop, additional prints can be paid for on the day.

My all day workshops are usually from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm but can be timed to suit your specific needs, and if held at my house I supply lunch, drinks and snacks. The day usually finishes with some Lightroom tuition followed by printing 2 A3 fine art prints for you to take home.

You don’t need any specialist equipment to benefit from my workshops, you just need to bring your camera and any lenses that you have. I can supply tripods, filters and extension tubes for macro (Canon/Nikon/Sony A fit), Strobes and triggers if you want to explore flash photography.

I am DBS checked via my teaching with Kent County Council and I have £5 Million Public Liability Insurance.

If you are interested in doing a workshop and are a member of a camera club or can get a group of friends together I offer tailored workshops for 5 people for the price of 4 when all booked together. Please contact me with your specific requirements.

1-2-1 GARDEN PHOTOGRAPHY TUITION

Available April to October - £250 Monday/Thursday/Saturday or Sunday

Do you want to improve your skills in photography in general and Garden photography in particular. Then book a day with me either in my garden or yours or a private garden of your choice. We will cover close-up/macro photography, depth of field, shooting in direct sunlight vs shade, creating Bokeh effects and choosing the best background.

Whatever you level of experience - complete novice through semi-professional - we will tailor the day to your unique requirements.

If you come to me I will supply drinks and snacks throughout the day and lunch.

We will also cover post processing in Lightroom and print 2 A3 fine art prints for you to take home from your day with us.

1-2-1 LIGHTROOM CLASSIC TUITION

Available all year round - £150 for 3 hours Monday/Thursday/Saturday or Sunday

Are you happy with your camera skills but wonder why your images don’t have that extra pop you see on everyone else’s social media feeds? Then you need to learn what Lightroom can do for your images.

Whether you’re new to LR or have been using it for a while I can take you through the key concepts you need to know to make the most of your images. I will tailor the time to fit your needs.

Additional hours can be booked at £40 per hour. I also offer 1-2-2 at a price of £240 for the first 3 hours.

You can either come to me if you have a laptop or I can come to you, there may be a fee to cover travel expenses depending on where you are based.

1-2-1 FINE ART FLOWER PHOTOGRAPHY TUITION

Not to be confused with my Garden Photography these all day 1-2-1 Fine Art Flower photography workshops are weather independent. I show you how I create my acclaimed fine art flower images using available light, put very simply my north facing windows, some black cloth and pieces of black and white card.

You don’t need to buy any expensive equipment such as studio lights. I show you how to light and pose your flowers to get the best from them.

We will finish the day by editing your images in Lightroom and printing 2 A3 fine art images for you to take home.

Lunch and all refreshments are included in the price.
