Autumn Evening Classes 2019

At West Kent College Campus in Tonbridge

Our classes cover the end to end process of making pictures. With digital photography, taking the picture and downloading it is only half the story. We will teach you how to get the best from your images and prepare them for printing and for use on social media, using simple editing techniques. All of our courses are project based and conclude with an end of term exhibition for students to show their work.

For the first time this year, we are running evening courses at the West Kent College Brook Street Campus in Tonbridge. The college has a first rate photography department, which offers courses to degree level, and has great facilities. This means that if you sign up for one of my classes, you will be registered as a student and a member of the college community, and you will have access to the college purpose built photography facilities, IT and the college learning resources centre.

Our students will have access to:

  • Purpose built studio with full studio flash, lighting, backgrounds etc.

  • Specialist closeup equipment

  • Mac Suite with iMacs and large format photo printers allowing you to edit and print your work up to A2 size

  • Lightroom, Photoshop, Premier Pro and other Adobe products

  • The college’s extensive learning resource centre

Our aim is to establish the college as a centre of excellence for photography in the Tonbridge community.

These classes will be run by myself and Paul Burgess. Paul is a very accomplished Photographer and Tutor who is currently in his last year of his Photography Degree Class at West Kent. I will be teaching the Beginners Class on Monday and the Intermediate class on Wednesday nights and we will be teaching the Masterclass together on Tuesday nights.
