This course is designed for anyone thinking of or is new to using Lightroom Classic CC, referred to as Lightroom from now on. Please use the before/after slider on the images at the bottom of this page, all of which were edited in Lightroom. See bottom of page for further details about the course .

This course will cover

Lightroom

  • What Lightroom is and isn’t

  • Setting up Lightroom to make the most of your laptop screen

  • Keyboard Short Cuts - The ones I think you should know and how to find the rest of them

The Library Module

  • Importing your images

  • Keywording

  • Organising - Folders, Collections, Smart collections - When/How and Why to use them

The Develop Module

  • White Balance

  • Cropping

  • Global Adjustments

  • Local Adjustments - Spot Healing, Graduated and Radial Filters, Adjustment Brush

  • Lens corrections - Most importantly when to use it.

Outputting your images

  • Exporting for email, social media and online printing

  • The Print Module

At the end of this course you will know how to get your images into and out of Lightroom, how to organise them and edit them to your liking.

We offer a follow on course to this one which will show you how to speed up your workflow, more advanced colour correction, how to create useful presets, utilise the print module to create montages, personalised printing and creating a copyright signature in Photoshop to watermark your images.

You will need to bring a laptop, with a version of Lightroom CC Classic on it, a mouse, memory stick, pen and paper for taking notes. You will be expected to have some basic laptop knowledge. If you do not currently have Lightroom installed on your laptop you can install it for free for 7 days so please load it a couple of days before the course and ensure that you have started the program at least once.

This course takes place in Tunbridge Wells.
