Due to the Covid-19 crisis we have unfortunately had to stop our courses at West Kent College and take everything on-line.

As a result, my partner, Paul Burgess, and I have had to quickly figure out how to offer teaching on-line. This we have successfully achieved used the ZOOM app, whether on desktop or tablet.

The overwhelming feedback we have received from new and existing students is that teaching post processing, i.e. Lightroom Classic and Photoshop, is much more effective on-line than it was in the classroom because everyone can see very clearly on their own screens what is being taught and they can share their screens if necessary. Group discussions also work out very well as everyone can clearly hear what is being discussed. They are also able to record sections of the lesson to their own machine.

Our Monday/Tuesday and Wednesday evening classes will begin on the 12th/13th/14th of April respectively, which we hope we will be doing a combination of outdoor evening photography, when it is safe to do so, and on-line post-processing and portfolio building.

Our next 12 week term starts in April, please click here to go to our evening classes page for more details and to book.

I like to teach using students own images, that way we get to work on real world images, not specifically shot to make teaching easier.
